University Of North Dakota Brannon Hall
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK
North Sky completed a renovation of this five-story university residence hall. The 14,000 square foot ground floor was completely renovated to include hall director apartment, ADA-compliant dorm suites, resident assistants’ office, commons area, and study areas. Dorm suites on all floors received new vanities, toilets, and tiled showers. Life safety upgrades of fire alarms and a fire sprinkler were also added to the building through the project.
Brannon Hall is a good example of why CMAR can benefit both the owner. During the demolition phase of the project, North Sky discovered there was significant issues with the existing plumbing system. Updates to the plumbing system were not within the scope of the original project. North Sky worked with the University of North Dakota to create a solution that would provide the best value for them while also not adding more time than necessary ensuring students would have the chance to move into the renovated residence hall for the spring semester 2018.
